Young Indians aged between 17.5 to 21 years are eligible to apply for the Agneepath program. Under Agneepath, participants can serve in the armed forces for a duration of four years. Participants will receive life insurance coverage of Rs. 48 Lakhs from LIC (Life Insurance Corporation) throughout their engagement as Agniveers in the Indian Air Force. Additionally, upon completing the designated period, Agniveers will be awarded a skill-set certificate by the Indian Air Force. The scheme also includes provisions for annual leave of 30 days and sick leave based on medical advice. Furthermore, participants can anticipate yearly benefits within the Agneepath program.
